3 Baffling Things in the New American Horror Story Poster
American Horror Story FX is weaving a whole lot of mystery into promos for their upcoming fall drama, American Horror Story. Take the new poster, for example, which is riddled with clues that fans won't even understand until after they've seen the premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 10/9c. Let's take a look at three things in the poster that had us scratching our heads. [Spoilers! The clues in the poster are very circumspect, but still may tip off major events in the premiere.] American Horror Story promo: What the hell is going on? 1. That half-naked redhead sprawled across the floor? That appears to be a lady who has the same hair color as the show's protagonist, Tami Taylor Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton), a woman who has moved with her husband Ben (Dylan McDermott) and daughter Violet (Taissa Farmiga) to Los Angeles after their family goes through hard times. Well, since this is a horror story, we assume there are harder times ahead, which is why we're scared about this lady looking rather "expectant" in the poster. 2. So who's the shiny, rubber-suited enigma doing a Cirque du Soleil act from the rafters? The way his feet are sprouting from the ceiling seems to indicate that he is connected to the house of horrors the Harmon family moves into. A plumber perhaps? The way he's reaching out to the lady below could mean something ... but what? Maybe he just needs a hug. If you have a really sharp eye, you can see a similarly shiny arm in the recently released American Horror Story promo. "Why don't they just leave?" Ryan Murphy promises answers about Horror Story's haunted house 3. Speaking of the house, take a look at those blood-red walls and notice, well, how bloody they look. That has to mean something ... is it an indication of victims past? If so, whose victims? Then again, red is a color that also inspires thoughts of love and passion (Aww!) ... and anger. Hmm, these elements could make for one heck of a horror story! Check out the poster below and share your thoughts on Ryan Murphy's new series in the comments:

9 Milestones in the Evolution of Anne Hathaway
In Lone Scherfig’s adaptation of the best-selling novel One Day, Anne Hathaway stars as a British waitress/writer whose romantic and professional pursuits — as well as her complicated relationship with Jim Sturgess’s wealthy womanizer — are chronicled across two decades. So, how did Hathaway transform herself from a Disney princess to a sardonic working class girl from New England? You can always trace a direct line through a few important roles to illustrate what led to an actor’s current success. So let’s look at nine pivotal performances that track the evolution of the Oscar nominated Anne Hathaway. Get Real (1999) Like any successful New York theater kid, Hathaway spent her childhood and teens starring in school plays, performing in the All-Eastern U.S. High School Honors Chorus and landing at least one seriously dramatic commercial before winning her first serious role in the short-lived Fox series Get Real at the age of 17. In spite of the show’s nascent star power — Hathaway played the beautiful, smart onscreen sister of future Oscar-nominee Jesse Eisenberg — Get Real was pulled off the air prematurely during its first season. The Princess Diaries (2001) Shortly after being cast in another Disney movie, The Other Side of Heaven, Hathaway beat out 500 actresses to play the lead character in Garry Marshall’s comedy The Princess Diaries. (As legend goes, the director cast the Brooklyn-born actress as his clumsy royal after she fell off her chair during the first audition.) For her role as Mia Thermopolis, an unknowing heir to a fictional Disney throne, Anne Hathway held her own against Julie Andrews, earned critical praise and helped Diaries became a commercial hit that grossed over $160 million worldwide. Havoc (2005) Having earned a reputation as a squeaky clean actress for her work in the family-friendly Princess Diaries franchise and the mediocre film fairytale Ella Enchanted, Hathaway redirected her career at the age of 23 with the gritty straight-to-DVD drama Havoc. Playing a spoiled Los Angeles teen who adopts a faux gangster lifestyle with her friends, Hathaway’s character managed to appear nude, have sex in the back seat of a car, witness a gang rape, smoke crack cocaine and perform oral sex on Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character. Hathaway denied that her decision to take on Havoc had anything to do with wanting audiences to consider her a mature actress, but again, the actress went from taking elocution lessons from Mary Poppins to smoking crack cocaine on a bed with Bijou Phillips. You do the math. The Devil Wears Prada (2006) After appearing topless and having more car sex in Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain, Hathaway buttoned her shirt back up to star in David Frankel’s adaptation of Lauren Weisberger’s novel. Returning to her foolproof Princess Diaries character formula, Hathaway played an awkward, unpolished young woman who finds herself groomed for an elite type of society. She didn’t earn an Oscar nomination like her esteemed co-star Meryl Streep but she did help make this chick flick her highest grossing box office title (until Rio) with $327 million worldwide.

FIRST Released: August 17, 2011 1:33 PM EDT NEW You are able to, N.Y. -- If there is ever question, its gone now. Jennifer Lopez is going to be back in the idol judges panel for that eleventh season of yankee Idol. The Fox network makes Lopezs return official, together with her fellow idol judges, Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler and record producer Randy Jackson. Additionally, Fox stated Wednesday that Ryan Seacrest is going to be back as host. Singer-actress Lopez first showed like a judge earlier this season. However in recent days, she'd openly been coy about whether she'd stick with the hit musical competition. Any residual skepticism was allayed a week ago by Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe. Bachelor Pad's Chris Harrison Calls Kasey the Godfather of the home
Kasey Kahl This week's episode of Bachelor Pad demonstrated that although some participants is going to do anything for the money, many will quit everything for love. Host Chris Harrison foretells TVGuide.com about Ames' grand exit to get along with Jackie, his new love who had been removed in the finish from the episode. Plus: Harrison describes an element towards the challenge audiences did not see, how Vienna attempted to stage a walkout and why next week's challenge is both funniest and saddest in Bachelor history. How did they obtain the fresh paint in individuals eggs?Chris Harrison: The award would go to our art department. I believe they poked small holes inside them and, having a syringe, shot it in. Is Bachelor Pad in your Watchlist? Add it as well as your other faves now and not miss a chapter Why did not everybody just goal for somebody in the centre which provides you with an improved chance of striking someone?Harrison: You could not just throw. If he or she left I requested the question plus they needed to non-vocally answer with the amount of who these were opting for. I clarified to be obvious if you put the egg also it hit somebody apart from [the amount they organized using their fingers] it did not count. You introduced that two women could be removed now. Was that change designed to keep Mike in the home?Harrison: The program isn't set. We now have a concept of the way you would like it to go, but before you observe how situations are going and also you observe how individuals are acting and just how the overall game is playing out, then individuals twists and turns are added. They are certainly are not permanent-minute, like: Oh, Jake's going to leave, let us do that. You cannot change the overall game to that particular degree. But with stuff that can happen per week ahead of time or a few days ahead of time, we are able to alter the script a little and alter the overall game a little as lengthy once we stay with our rules and everybody comes with an equal opportunity to win. They already know many things can happen anytime. VIDEO: Bachelor Pad's Graham Bunn dishes on his partnership with Michelle Money Had you been taken aback by Vienna declaring the show was "cheating?" Harrison: You are able to take part in the victim all that's necessary ... but when you are likely to start accusing the show I am not likely to stand for this. Who's keeping you here? .This is exactly why when she stated that, I stated, "If you do not enjoy it, then leave." Literally, she was attempting to have this coup d'etat and stage a walkout. ... it isn't the final temper outburst that the houseguest may have this year. Have you been surprised she still refuses to speak with Mike?Harrison: I am surprised overall that they just will not ignore it and she or he just will not bury the hatchet. In her own defense, I believe she's acting from emotion, and that i don't believe she's taking in mind the general public perception of her. She needs to realize she's on the show and even when you wouldn't want this closure with Mike, when he pops up for you five occasions and also you diss him like this, it will likely be perceived pretty badly. Bachelor Pad's Chris Harrison: Mike giving Vienna the immunity rose was "truly stupid" How about Kasey's game moves now?Harrison: It's impressive how he's the Godfather of the home at this time. It's funny how Vienna thinks she's really part of it too, but she's not really. She does not realize just how much Kasey is usually the one in charge of the game, a minimum of up to this time. He's performed it superbly, I must say. Have you expect Gia to depart the show?Harrison: That got beyond control so rapidly and that i have no clue how she went from zero to I am departing. She got caught ... attempting to plan and split up Kasey and Vienna, after which when Graham and Kasey performed the overall game much better than her, she got pissed, upset, her feelings got hurt and she or he left. It was more, "I am going to be chosen out so rather than losing, I quit." How incredible was Ames' exit?Harrison: Which was among the finest moves I have observed in Bachelor history. Ames demonstrated that, "I do not need this, it will not change my existence much, but departing here with my dignity with my love is much more important." It had been a storybook moment only Ames [could do], it had been an attractive moment and funny to determine the cast applauding. What else could you say about in a few days?Harrison: In a few days is synchronized swimming and it is easily the funniest, saddest moment in Bachelor history. You will find there's handful of familiar faces are available in and select and we have some pros. To determine the men inside a synchronized swimming outfit is wrong in a lot of ways. A number of individuals Speedos were a bit more see-through they should have been -there isn't a great deal left towards the imagination.

9 Milestones in the Evolution of James Franco
In this weekend’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes, James Franco plays a San Francisco scientist attempting to develop the cure for Alzheimer’s through apes. Just how did Franco transform himself from a television burnout to a believable genetic engineer, while maintaining one of the busiest and eclectic schedules in Hollywood? You can always trace a direct line through a few important roles to illustrate what led to an actor’s current success. So let’s look at nine pivotal performances that track the evolution of the Oscar nominated James Franco. Never Been Kissed (1999) Long before James Franco was being recognized as one of Hollywood’s most experimental performers (or as one of its worst Academy Awards co-hosts), the actor was a gum-chomping background player in a Drew Barrymore romcom. While growing up in Palo Alto, Franco first became interested in acting as a means to overcome his shyness but the budding performer soon starting auditioning and landed a few very forgettable roles in series like Pacific Blue and Profiler. At the age of 21 though, he nabbed the part of a popular high schooler in this lighthearted comedy. Freaks and Geeks (1999) It wasn’t until Paul Feig and Judd Apatow’s short-lived (but critically beloved) Freaks and Geeks though that James Franco gained real viewer recognition. As Daniel Desario, a complicated deadbeat that alternately bickers with his teenage girlfriend (Busy Phillipps) and cares for his invalid father, Franco proved that he could embody complex, charismatic characters deserving of both your scorn and your sympathy (the latter of which is earned in this beautifully-acted clip as Desario reluctantly comes around to the idea of Dungeons and Dragons with the nerds). Franco would go on to collaborate with Apatow and his Freaks co-star Seth Rogen again in Knocked Up (during which Franco had a brief cameo) and in the 2008 stoner comedy Pineapple Express. James Dean (2001) If Freaks and Geeks was the milestone project for which James Franco started being recognized, James Dean was the project for which the actor started being recognized as a serious performer. The project was originally conceived as a feature film with Michael Mann attached to direct. But when Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio were dropped as leads for various reasons, Warner Bros. handed the project over to sister network TNT, and a small-screen project was born. As the story goes, Franco was chosen from 500 actors and underwent intense character immersion, allegedly smoking two packs of cigarettes a day (from zero packs a day), learning to ride a motorcycle and play the guitar and speaking with Dean’s friends Martin Landau and Dennis Hopper to perfect the icon’s mannerisms. In addition to this being Franco’s first “serious” role, James Dean would also be the first time that the actor would take on a biographical part (as he later did in Howl, Milk and 127 Hours) and the first time that he would earn a Golden Globe nomination (for Best Actor - Miniseries or Television Film). Spider-Man (2002) A year later, Franco made his mainstream multiplex debut in the first installment of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. After auditioning for the part of the titular superhero, he was cast as Peter Parker’s best friend and roommate Harry Osborn. Grossing $821 million worldwide, this was Franco’s most successful project at the box office and remained so until 2007’s Spider-Man 3, which grossed $891 million worldwide. Good Time Max (2007) Franco wrote and directed his first feature in 2005 (Fool’s Gold, not to be mistaken with the Matthew McConaughey/Kate Hudson flick) but it wasn’t until 2007 that a feature written and directed by (not to mention, starring) the budding multitasker gained some ground in the film community. The same year that Good Time Max — an indie drama about two genius brothers who choose much different paths in life — premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, Franco also appeared in Camille, An American Crime, Interview, Finishing the Game, In the Valley of Elah, Knocked Up and Spider-Man 3. I’m tired just listing those. Made a year after Franco re-enrolled at UCLA, Good Time Max also marks Franco’s return to higher education.

TCA: Talks "Have Begun" For Second Season Of Oxygen's 'The Glee Project'
Diane Haithman is contributing to Deadline's coverage of TCA. At todays TCA panel on Oxygens The Glee Project -- the 10-episode documentary/reality program that has resulted in the selection of a new cast member for Fox's hit showGlee, although the winner has not yet been announced -- executive Michael Davies confirmed negotiations for a second season are underway. Yes, talks have begun, the planning is starting to happen, the budgeting, and how were going to do the casting, which is the big thing, he said. It hasnt been officially picked up yet. But having been through this before with shows that have not been picked up, just based on the ratings growth that weve seen I feel incredibly confident that we are coming back, and its certainly in my plans for next year. After a disappointing start, the reality series has been consistently building in the ratings and breaking records for Oxygen in online traffic and social media following. Davies also said he doesnt expect the recent Glee controversy involving the fate of some of its principals to have a negative impact on The Glee Project, which is executive produced by Glee co-creator/exec producer Ryan Murphy, whose comments sparked the controversy. (See Exclusive: 'Glee's Ryan Murphy Talks For First Time About Spinoff & Firings Missteps.) Im not worried about it all, Davies said. I [talked] at a press tour six months ago about the fact that The Glee Project is not so much a reality show for Ryan, it is a project to cast Glee, because casting is really important. He did not elaborate except to say that everything about Glee Project is positive and a world where there is more singing and dancing is never a bad place.
